During the last couple months of summer, I attended the 2011 teen session of the University of Utah Youth Theater.
It was held at a building on the U campus, so I had to take Trax with a couple of my good friends that were also attending theater camp.
I based most of my electives on musical theater. I was in the musical theater company, who worked on the musical Once On This Island and performed it at the end of the session. I took a musical theater dance class where we learned an original Broadway dance from All That Jazz and performed it at the end of the session, a voice overs class in which we got to write scripts for short cartoons and create our own clay characters to animate our cartoons with, a Shakespeare class where we learned about various Shakespeare villains and their motives, backgrounds and so forth and recieved Shakespeare monologues to work on throughout the session. I had a lot of fun. It was such a great experience that I plan on doing it again next year.
